Assessment is a learning process based on everyday reflections. It is a formative process to shape my instruction and enhances students' learning at their individual levels. The students set their own learning goals based on the co-constructed criteria of all learning tasks. The students own the assessment and the learning outcomes. They engage in self-, peer- and teacher-feedback. All assessments are documented in order to be transparent for the students. I am hoping this new year to improve on documenting the assessment process and make it transparent to students and parents through a better use of eportfolios.
I was lucky to be part of a ministry team on the assessment learning process. Please refer to this link for reflecting on the assessment process. http://goo.gl/Z9HwM
